- Check out the exterior of your home….does it create a good first impression? Are gutters, windows clean, is there paint chipping?
- How does the garden look? Pull out the weeds add a pot plant, clean your outdoor furniture. Tuck the rubbish bins away.
- Consider re-configuring rooms, if you have a 3 bedroom home that is what prospective buyers want to see, tidy up the office, add a bed.
- Get rid of the clutter! You love your knick knacks but buyers need to be able to see their possessions in your house. Box up non-essentials and clear those surfaces.
- Create a welcoming home, think about lighting, aroma, décor, cleanliness & warmth.
- Check the interior for any maintenance, peeling wall paper, chipped paint, drapes & curtains hanging correctly.
- Create a feeling of homeliness especially for open homes. Set the scene for your prospective buyer, what are your homes features, display fresh flowers etc.
- Pets are wonderful….but not if you step in their business! Make sure the house is pet and smell free for open homes.
