The day of my house viewing was a wet and miserable day. I had to catch two buses to the location of the viewing, and I was running twenty minutes late as my phone decided it didn’t want to work, so I had no Google Maps. When I got to the bus terminal, I had to ask how to get to the address. I missed the first bus, and Mr Liwanag rang me. I apologised for my delay, but he assured me he would wait.

When I finally arrived, Mr Liwanag was so welcoming and showed me around. I loved the property immediately. I talked to Mr Liwanag and told him I had been searching for a house for two years. I lived in emergency housing and was in transitional housing. I was told not to mention that I was on the MSD housing register, but I’m very honest, and if you ask, I will tell you honestly anyway.

Mr Liwanag told me he catches buses to all his viewings. In the last two years, I would’ve viewed at least one hundred to two hundred homes, doing two to three viewings a day. Mr Liwanag has been the only person who gave me a chance and has blessed me with a beautiful home that I will treat with respect. I appreciate Mr Liwanag’s valuable time to help me through the process of obtaining this rental property to call home.
